Now that Thanksgiving and Christmas are approaching it seems there is quite a bit going on around town.
- CFA International Cat Show: Georgia International Convention Center. This cat show is the largest pedigreed cat show in the Western Hemisphere -- the Cat's version of Westminster. The website has details on entry, times, and directions.
- The Lighting of Atlantic Station. Nov. 22, noon - 8 p.m. Also at Atlantic stations, the Steel Mill Express opens this weekend and runs through Dec. 20.
- Honoring the Family Day. Interactive Neighborhood for Kids in Gainsville. Storytelling, magic shows, face painting and more. Nov. 23 1-5 p.m. $1 per person or $5 per family. 770-536-1900
- Holiday Pottery Sale. Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Callanwolde will hold its annual holiday pottery sale, which will take place in the beautiful indoor courtyard at Callanwolde throughout the weekend of November 21. Find functional, decorative, and sculptural one-of-a-kind ceramic works created by Callanwolde's renowned pottery program instructors and assistants. For more information call 404-872-5338.
- Cocoa and Candles. Dunwoody Nature Center November 23 7-9 p.m. After the lighting of the Dunwoody try, hop the trolley in the Shoppes of Dunwoody to Dunwoody Park and enjoy a candle-lit stroll thorugh the trails lined with luminarias.
- Crafts for Kids. Lakeshore Learning Store. 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Nov 22, Fall Wreath; Nov 29, Family Tree. More information call 310-537-8600
