T'is the season for fun around
Atlanta! Looking for some fun family entertainment? Look no
further... Here are some holiday events going on around town this month!
Stone Mountain -- Stone Mountain Christmas.
Nightly "snowfalls" and fireworks by the Snow Angel. Hear the Christmas
story aboard the scenic railroad. Festive lights and holiday shows.
Through December 30th. Also at Stone Mountain -- Snow Mountain. Three football fields of deep, fresh snow, Snow Mountain has plenty for your whole family to do - tubing, Mountain SnoLift, The SnowZone and Little Angels (for the littlest snow bunnies). Through March 1, 2009.
Archibald Smith Plantation Home hosts Christmas Around the World. The historic home presents traditions from countries around the world. Through Jan 7th, 2009.
Christmas across the USA at Bulloch Hall in Roswell. Explore the historic house as rooms represent 11 US Cities from the East to West Coast. Through Jan 4, 2009.
Snowing in the Station at Atlantic station. Realistic snowfall around the 50-foot tall Christmas tree in Central Park. Through Dec 31st. Also at Atlantic station, The Steel Mill Express. Miniature train ride recalls the industrial heritage of the Atlantic Station. Through December 20th.
The Pink Pig Returns to Macy's Lenox Square. Ride through a live-sized story book that includes the Pink Pig, greendog and other holiday friends. Through Jan 4, 2009.
Kennesaw Santa Parade.
Santa, his reindeer and Mrs. Claus come to downtown Kennesaw, Saturday,
December 13. Parade starts at 12:00. Also on Saturday after the
parade, Kennesaw is hosting it's first Howliday Dog Costume contest - bring your pets dressed in costume and win prizes. At the Depot.
If your kids are as keyed up about the holidays as my kids, you'll be looking for things to do to keep them occupied, and as you can see there is plenty going on!
